Glacial deposits in Glen Iorsa on the Isle of Arran. These outcrops show textbook graded bedding, as the particles were dropped from the ice as it receded. The Arran Museum website is a great source of info on the geology of Arran.
This valley is mostly Quaternary in terms of geological features, and it is surrounded by the granite of the Arran peaks.

Isle of Arran; Machrie Stone Circle
The standing stone circles at Machrie on the Isle of Arran, are ancient structures that may be related to local burial pits and other circles.
One of the most striking remains of a stone circle has tall sandstone slabs, which are of interest to me as a huge nerd, because they're made of sandstone and feature sedimentary structures including cross bedding, channel deposits and honeycomb weathering.
