Our Biggest Adventure Yet

David and I have finally moved in together!

After being together for over three years, and living apart for all of those three years (we both moved/stayed home with parents to save money, but then didn’t save any money), this month we have moved into our very own place! It is very twee, very me, and I very much love it. To be honest it still feels like a holiday home just with ALL of our stuff in it. Every morning we sit at the table for breakfast and just say “…this is actually our dining table, in our house…!”

My commute has increased by ten minutes so is now a whopping 20-25 minutes (how awful), and David’s has decreased by an amazing 45-50 minutes or more. A couple of times we have managed to find each other on the drive home and follow one another home in separate vehicles.

We are not overlooked at the back but instead have a river with a woodland. The road is quiet, we can get both cars on the drive, and we have a rear garden. I have grand plans for this space including bird boxes around the river, a bird feeding station in the garden, thick garden wire on the fence panels and raised planters to grow flowers in, so they can go up the fence. I am also (next winter!) going to put in a load of snowdrops, crocus, daffodils, tulip and alliums that can just be left to their own devices.

The house also has a bath!! I can actually have a bath!! We have been really lucky with this house; it has everything we wanted in a house for a very affordable amount. The next stage is getting the broadband sorted, and a new cable for the TV aerial as it’s driving David mad that he can’t get the TV working, which in turn is driving me mad because he gets so frustrated.

New house!!!!!
