Aims for 2023

I’ve got some blogging catching up to do but my brain isn’t in the right place to do it all, so it might not happen. I do like to do a January blog with some loose and generic aims for the upcoming year, to steer me on a sort of path, although I don’t think I did one at all for 2022. December 2021 and January 2022 was when I had decided to really get my arse in gear to find a new job and to leave the hellhole that was my previous role. My brain wasn’t in a good place then, either.

So anyway, this year I have come up with some things which I’ll probably achieve without writing them down, but it makes me feel better to have a plan out of my head and written somewhere, so here goes.

1.       Make 15 different crochet things. This doesn’t include multiples, so several hats only count as one.

2.       Do 10 Quatt Craft Group sessions. There’s 12 months in a year and we’ve just done the first session, so only 9 more to go to hit my target!

3.       Do 14 Dudmaston Gardening sessions. I need to get some booked in but I try to do two a month. I might start up again in Feb. I volunteer with the National Trust for this.

4.       Do 4 NT Conservation sessions, with their conservation volunteer team.

5.       Stand up on a paddleboard (without holding on to David/a tree)

6.       Spend more time at the allotment, at least one full day a month. Preferably two.

7.       Lose one stone in weight by my birthday (I need (want) to lose around 4 stone in total but lets not worry about that now)

8.       Pay off the credit card in full. Never gonna happen but I like to dream.

9.       Grow a bladdy pumpkin!! I had NONE this year. I want a better food growing year overall. Last year was shite.

10.   Keep my job at the Wildlife Trust. My contract is fully up in July but I would very much love to stay. It’s SO good. So good. Such nice lovely people, stress levels are down massively, money levels are up, having reasons to bake cake every week is up… Yeh. I like it there.

I also want to spend more time with David, go on more mini adventures, swim in the river more, and transform the garden. I had so many garden plans for last year and I didn’t do them, so this year I will.

I have already done one finished crochet project this year and should have a second finished by this evening, so they can both be gifted this week. Only 13 more to go!

The Garden Plan, which changes every week. Big LOL at wanting a pond
